Ryan Breen
RYAN BREEN
Ryan has worked as a professional orchestral musician and facilitator worldwide for over 20 years, performing regularly with Orchestras such as the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, Royal Ballet and Danish Radio Orchestra. He takes a creative lead with many organisations too, including the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and Manchester Camerata, whist lecturing at major Higher Education establishments around the U.K.

Ryan is dedicated to demonstrating the wider relevance of the modern orchestra in society today, and is at the forefront of what is possible through meaningful collaboration with organisations.
RICHARD TAYLOR
Richard Taylor is a composer for stage, concert hall and television. Recipient of an unprecedented two UK Theatre Awards (Best Musical Production) for the musicals Flowers For Mrs Harris (Chichester Festival Theatre) and The Go-Between (Apollo Theatre, West End, starring Michael Crawford), and two Royal Philharmonic Society Awards for the opera Confucius Says (Hackney Empire) and the dramatic cantata Calderland (Halifax Piece Hall).

Other work includes the opera Ludd & Isis (Royal Opera), a concert work for narrator and orchestra The Man Who Planted Trees (BBC Philharmonic) and a piece for massed choirs genesis (ENO at London Coliseum).

Television work ranges from the ITV thriller The Brides In The Bath to CBBC’s series Buzz & Tell. Richard was composer in residence at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, artistic associate of Opera North, and has also composed scores for almost 100 plays at theatres across the UK.

Future work includes a musical for the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, and an opera for six international partners to be performed in the UK, Italy and Lebanon in 2023/4. Richard is also in great demand as a workshop leader, having led creative music workshops across the UK, China, Japan, Norway and the USA.
Kristofer Wåhlander
Kristofer Wåhlander is one of Sweden's most successful conductors and has worked with symphony orchestras all over Europe. Alongside the music, he is a valued source of inspiration in leadership and interaction. Kristofer works with many of Sweden's leading companies and with large international organisations and he has also coached members of the Swedish Taekwondo national team.
JIM MAYNARD
Jim is an active composer and arranger, and is regularly commissioned to write original works for solo instruments as well as for ensembles.

Some of his commissions include: The London Symphony Orchestra, Brighton Festival, ONYX Brass, LSO Discovery, Peter Moore and Isobel Daws.

He began his musical career playing 2nd trombone in the London Symphony Orchestra, a position he held for 23 years, playing with the world’s finest conductors in famous venues all over the globe and recording some of the most iconic soundtracks in film history, such as Star Wars and Harry Potter.

As a teacher, Jim has 20 years experience as a brass professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London; teaching, training, conducting and coaching. Many of Jim’s students have gone on to be busy professional musicians.

He is also very involved in a number of community projects, taking music to SEND schools as well as to adults in various settings.
